With the 64-bit Vagrant precise 20140807 image:

I get this message on login:
Your current Hardware Enablement Stack (HWE) is no longer supported
since 2014-08-07. Security updates for critical parts (kernel
and graphics stack) of your system are no longer available.
Installed kernel version is 3.8.0-44-generic .
Also, note that for some reason linux-headers-generic (precise HWE
stack) is still installed.
