Pascal in answer to : Where did you get the DCP-8065DN ppd? I just choose the driver from the CUPS menu during the install process by trial and error with lots of others because the offered/recommended 7045 driver did not work. I don't know how to direct or answer you further. While the 7065 was correctly identified as in the screenshot it was not offered in the list of drivers . Is it possible that the 8065 was mislabelled, and was actually the correct offering? Also, now that the printer is working should I install the "brlaser" driver? The reason for filing a bug is that there must be others in the community struggling with the same problem.
