On a dual-boot machine (Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS + Win8), I'm trying to maintain
local time in hardware clock.
For that, Windows registry is kept as it is.
In Linux we have "UTC=no" in /etc/default/rcS and LOCAL at the end of
/etc/adjtime. Moreover:
# zdump /etc/localtime
/etc/localtime Mon Aug 11 19:04:20 2014 CEST
# cat /etc/timezone
Europe/Berlin
While rebooting windows to windows, the time doesn't change significantly.
While rebooting linux to linux, the time doesn't change significantly.
Rebooting Linux to Windows advances the time by two hours, which has to be
reparied manually or via synching with a time server.
Any help appreciated.
