In the ~/.cache/upstart/unity8 log for the phone tested above, there are
several error warnings about a null property in
Panel/Indicators/DefaultIndicatorWidget.qml:76 and
(process:2451): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **:
g_dbus_connection_signal_subscribe: assertion 'object_path == NULL ||
g_variant_is_object_path (object_path)' failed
(process:2451): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_dbus_connection_call_internal:
assertion 'object_path != NULL && g_variant_is_object_path
(object_path)' failed
