I just wanted to add that I have been experiencing this bug in several distros, each with their own version of goa. Email works fine, but the calendar component has issues:
Debian Wheezy (goa 3.4.2): I get a password prompt twice when I log in, but after that authentication is successful Ubuntu 14.04 (goa 3.10.3): Authentication fails completely Gentoo with (goa 3.12.4): Authentication fails completely All three of these started *at the same time*, around the beginning of August. I think Google may have changed something for all versions of goa to break at the same time. I do not know what that something could be though. Also note that if I use evolution to add a calendar in Ubuntu 14.04 or Gentoo without using goa, the calendar authenticates fine. Here is the bug on GNOME's bugzilla. No word from any upstream devs yet, unfortunately. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=734298 ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #734298 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=734298 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1353951 Title: gnome online accounts require autentication on startup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-online-accounts/+bug/1353951/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
