I just wanted to add that I have been experiencing this bug in several
distros, each with their own version of goa. Email works fine, but the
calendar component has issues:

Debian Wheezy (goa 3.4.2): I get a password prompt twice when I log in, but
after that authentication is successful
Ubuntu 14.04 (goa 3.10.3): Authentication fails completely
Gentoo with (goa 3.12.4): Authentication fails completely

All three of these started *at the same time*, around the beginning of
August. I think Google may have changed something for all versions of
goa to break at the same time. I do not know what that something could
be though.

Also note that if I use evolution to add a calendar in Ubuntu 14.04 or
Gentoo without using goa, the calendar authenticates fine.

Here is the bug on GNOME's bugzilla. No word from any upstream devs
yet, unfortunately.
