i am using linux mint 17 mate 64 bit version 2
i use "sudo apt-get install netbeans" to install netbeans ide
the netbeans ide installed when i run the netbeans ide
when netbeans ide is started, an error message appeared
and click the alert signal, it shows "unexpected exception
javax/lang/model/element/executeableelement: unsupported major.minor version
51.0"
the netbeans is jammed when creating a java project
the jammed problem still occurs after reboot the netbeans ide or reboot the
linux mint
after that i thought the problem comes from java version
then i purge the openjdk-6-jdk and try to install the openjdk-7-jdk use command
"sudo apt-get install openjdk-7-jdk"
and update-alternative java runtime
the netbeans ide does not show the previous problem after started
however, when create a java project it gets the other error signal -
"unexpected exception com/sun/tools/javac/util/CancelAbort"
i thought netbeans ide is crash to some software or library i installed
so i use virtualbox and setup i new linux mint 17 in it.
i install openjdk-7-jdk before install netbeans, however it still has
"unexpected exception com/sun/tools/javac/util/CancelAbort" when create a java
project
linux mint 16 does not happen
