Unless I'm mistaken, `icedax` is only enforced as a dependency if `cdparanoia` is not met, and it's not a suggest package. The linked patch silently fails to get the CD-Text if these are not present. It's perfectly possible to have `abcde` installed and be completely unaware of this feature.
