Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce. 1. Connect the OBD2-USB cable to the computer, or pair the Bluetooth device, as the case. 2. Open ScanTool and select the serial port used by the OBD2 device
What occurs ScanTool says the message "Interface was not found" and does not connect to the OBD2 device. In addition, after ScanTool tries to connect, it is not even possible to manually communicate with the device, e.g. using Screen utility or cat to /dev/ttyUSB*; It does not matter if ScanTool had been closed. What was expected ScanTool should communicate with the OBD2 device and should not mess up the communication with it. If I use the original ScanTool 1.21 patched with "scantool_net121-linux-termios": http://ubuntuforums.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=163552&d=1279224326 It works correctly, so the issue comes from the version included on the repositories.
