Public bug reported:

Since Ubuntu 13.10 my computer needs the additional driver "video driver
for AMD graphic cards by fglrx". However, while installing (K)Ubuntu I
don't have that driver. So I can only use my computer for about 10
seconds, then have to wait for about 30 seconds while it's frozen until
I have another 10 seconds to click on the next item. Before Ubuntu 13.10
the driver that ubuntu provided automatically worked just fine.
