dh75028,
I apologize for your bug report sitting for so long without a response.
However, the error message you are seeing appears to be the result of a bad
disk drive in your system. From the log files you have posted:
Nov 7 16:27:25 ubuntu kernel: [17182046.772000] EXT3-fs error (device hda1):
ext3_get_inode_loc: unable to read inode block - inode=1917774, block=3834004
Nov 7 16:27:35 ubuntu kernel: [17182056.864000] hda: dma_intr: status=0x51 {
DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
Nov 7 16:27:35 ubuntu kernel: [17182056.864000] hda: dma_intr: error=0x40 {
UncorrectableError }, LBAsect=30672100, sector=30672095
Nov 7 16:27:35 ubuntu kernel: [17182056.864000] ide: failed opcode was: unknown
Nov 7 16:27:35 ubuntu kernel: [17182056.864000] end_request: I/O error, dev
hda, sector 30672095
This would indicate that your primary hard drive is dying. I recommend
scanning the disk drive with a hard disk testing tool, and replacing the
drive if necessary. If you find that the drive is not in fact dying,
feel free to reopen this bug report.
