The package manager is usually able to clean up obsolete system files.
However, files in the user's home directory will stay untouched.

As I already mentioned, the settings manager is a simple GUI application
and its job is to display a subset of the installed and manually created
launchers (basically visualize the "settings" category which is hidden
from the start menu).

I'll close this report by marking it as invalid -> not a bug in the
specified package. Do feel free to report any other bugs you may find.
