Hey, i second that problem with the feisty server edition (only tested this one). with the gutsy tribe-5 disc, the installer is giving me a "no suitable kernel found". My CPU is a Via C3. this one could also address your problem: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/base-installer/+bug/86270
