Hi, Thanks for the reply. Yes, that’s exactly where I had Octave installed (/usr/local/bin), it was the default install location when I installed octave from my user account.
I’ll just delete and reinstall, but it sent up a lot of errors in the Ubuntu 12-14 upgrade, did make me worry that the upgrade was going to crash mid-way through. It didn’t (thanks!), so all’s fine other than Octave is gone.
