Public bug reported:
Interestingly when I use only a 2G connection (US, AT&T) I don't seem to
get time zone data sent from the tower (or it's always been this way on
3G as well and I have just forgotten setting it in the past).
Attempting to set my location to San francisco I tried the following
searches:
San fran
at this point I of course observed a large number of options, so I
attempted to filter:
San fran ca
San fran CA
San francisco ca
San francisco, Ca
San francisco, U
all of which produce no results, at which point I backspaced back to San
fran and just searched the list.
It's very surprising that none of these worked (I guess it wanted, San
Francisco, C?)
I would suggest two improvements:
Fuzzier searching
Cities organized by population
