I know it's completely off topic and doesn't help in resolving the software part of this bug, however, it takes between $10 to $20 usd for a new wi-fi/bluetooth mini pci-e half size card, which is what is used in laptops and 10 minutes of your time to swap it out, without any specific technical knowledge. I did just that and now all is good :)
