We are in generate_initramfs()
so we are calling : mkinitramfs ${OPTS} "${initramfs}.new" "${version}"
stdin: Illegal seek

mkinitramfs: for root missing /sys/block/ entry
<--- these 2 messages are not in
mkinitramfs: workaround is MODULES=most
default mkinitramfs
So I suspect another command called by mkinitramfs to fail.
