** Description changed:

After updating to Trusty (14.10) from Saucy (13.10), my keyboard layout
resets every time I select a previously unselected text input field. The
switch layout shortcuts change the layout icon in the menu bar, but have
no effect on the actual layout.

I can only change it back by manually switching the layout using the
icon to a different layout, and then back again, making sure not to
click on the text input field again, which sometimes causes it to reset
again, despite the fact that I have not unselected the field.

Normally I use Dvorak, but it keeps resetting to Qwerty (en_GB). My
keyboard has the qwerty layout printed on it, but it is not hardwired.

I am the only user on my machine to use Dvorak, everyone else uses
qwerty, but it worked fine in 13.10 and prior.
+
+ EDIT: It actually resets to en_US, which I don't even have enabled.
