Public bug reported:
When I run the alternate install CD on my i386, after scanning hardware
to find CD drives, that progress box disappears and it stays on the
blank blue install screen (with the grey at the bottom). This is true
for both Edgy and Feisty installers. The same happens whether selecting
"Install from text mode" or "Test CD for defects."
