Public bug reported:

When editing a document using LibreOffice, the system locks up after
every update typed. Lock up can be up to 30 seconds before control is
returned to the user. I have found that this takes place even on
documents located on the same physical machine, not just network hosted
documents.

Problem does not occur if I disconnect form the SSHFS drive.

I can understand potential delay when editing a remote document but the
connection to an SSHFS file server is affecting editing of locally held
documents too.
