I tried to reproduce this in LibreOffice 4.2.4, and it appears to be
fixed now.

1) open Original.doc supplied in the bug report
2) save as saved.doc
3) close document
4) reopen saved.doc (still in LO)
5) second page header is present (unlike "new.doc" supplied in the bug report)

So let's mark this as resolved.
