** Description changed: Binary package hint: rt2500 The rt2500 (1:1.1.0-b4-4ubuntu1) configuration utility (aka RaConfig2500) was a perfect companion for the rt2500 legacy drivers but apparently doesn't work anymore with the new Ralink rt2x00 wireless modules as included with the Gutsy kernel. By consulting the project homepage (http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page) I learned that this utility has now been replaced by the RutilT utility, which is presently not available from Debian/Ubuntu. This will unfortunately leave the many Ubuntu Ralink users without the possibility of setting the i/f through a graphical interface (especially useful for novices). - I have therefore prepared an Ubuntu package which canbe used to + I have therefore prepared an Ubuntu package which can be used to distribute the utility through our repositories. Since we are past the NPF, is it possible to get an exception for this package, which I believe would benefit many users, especially novices? I'm attaching hereafter some information which I hope will be usefull in considering the exception.
