I can confirm the same behaviour. Computer goes to StandBy when lid is closed after awakening the screen keeps black.
xfce4-power-manager 1.2.0-3ubuntu4.1 is installed and no work around is applied. I deinstalled light-locker and installed xscreensaver again but the same problem occurs.
