No, to be honest I think that'd be over the top, since the scenario in
which this can be a problem is fairly rare (so in most cases it would
actually be misleading).

Usually you plug in a new monitor and then you open the dialog, which
means that it'll be up to date. Opening the dialog and then connecting a
VGA monitor with a graphics card that doesn't send the correct signals
is the only case in which your label would make sense, and we cannot
detect that case really.

FWIW this is the first bug report I ever see on this issue and it has
always worked like that, which suggests that most people connect their
monitors first and then open the dialog.
