No, to be honest I think that'd be over the top, since the scenario in which this can be a problem is fairly rare (so in most cases it would actually be misleading).
Usually you plug in a new monitor and then you open the dialog, which means that it'll be up to date. Opening the dialog and then connecting a VGA monitor with a graphics card that doesn't send the correct signals is the only case in which your label would make sense, and we cannot detect that case really. FWIW this is the first bug report I ever see on this issue and it has always worked like that, which suggests that most people connect their monitors first and then open the dialog. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1369713 Title: xfce4-display-settings does not refresh when connecting a new screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-settings/+bug/1369713/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
