That’s not the current behaviour of text fields in the UITK. Word
selection happens when double tapping on a word, and the contextual menu
is invoked on long press (see for example messaging app).

Are you saying that the default behaviour in the UITK is going to
change, and that selecting some text will instantly display the
contextual menu? If so, I guess this behaviour will be implemented in
the UITK, and the browser app will instantly benefit from this change.
