I installed linux- image-3.17.0-031700rc5-generic_3.17.0-031700rc5.201409151105_amd64.deb several days ago. It failed on the first two boot attempts, but has since had no problems over about a dozen boots. I hesitate to positively declare that this is fixed in upstream kernels, but it looks very promising.
NB. I have been unable to install the corresponding linux-headers due to unresolved dependences that I have not been able to fix. But that's another topic. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1369406 Title: Boot hangs with kernel 3.13.0-32 and newer To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1369406/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
