I've got a bit more info. As you can also see in the 'mainline kernel install log' attachment, since this same update, I also have a graphics driver problem: no more opengl/hardware accelleration, with all of the 3 driver options (fglrx, fglrx-updates, xorg). Before I used fglrx-updates because this seemed to work the best of the 3 (not good, but better than the rest).
After install of the mainline kernel, I tried switching to the xorg option: still no opengl, but at least suspend/resume seems to work now! When I resume the computer, I get a flash of random multicolored dots and stripes, but I don't have to ctrl-alt-del anymore. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1373969 Title: Ubuntu 14.04 blank screen after wakeup from sleep on Toshiba Satellite (M50D-A-100) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1373969/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
