Ideally we would keep the trusted session working when the app goes to the background or is suspended. But right now, for the sake of keeping things simple, we are dismissing a a trusted sessions once its "host" application is backgrounded or suspended. So if you want to change this behavior, then please file another bug to track it. This is how it's going to be for RTM.
