Still same error on ACER Extensa 5630Z I have made some test with Ubuntu 13.04, 13.10, 14.04 and even with the latest building of 14.10 Beta. The result is that until Ubuntu 13.10 it has been working really fine, the latest Kernel I could test with 13.10 is the version 3.8.0-19.
With Kernel 3.11 I started to have this problem, an it still continues to Kernel 3.13.0-36. Once you set acpi=off Ubuntu is loaded correctly, but as it is a laptop there is no way to work without acpi I have tried all parameters of ACPI unsuccesfully. Any idea?
