Whoever has observed the bug, please install the mentioned packages and report your experience. On my Ubuntu Edge the problem does not appear, but tomorrow I can try the patch on a Mandriva box. Unfortunately, not everyone has the problem, so please everyone who reads this, try on whatever OS with CUPS 1.2.3.
