Chris,

I followed instructions in email below, installed latest upstream kernel
packages:

linux-headers-3.17.0-031700-generic_3.17.0-031700.201410060605_i386.deb
<http://kernel.ubuntu.com/%7Ekernel-ppa/mainline/v3.17-utopic/linux-headers-3.17.0-031700-generic_3.17.0-031700.201410060605_i386.deb>

linux-headers-3.17.0-031700_3.17.0-031700.201410060605_all.deb
<http://kernel.ubuntu.com/%7Ekernel-ppa/mainline/v3.17-utopic/linux-headers-3.17.0-031700_3.17.0-031700.201410060605_all.deb>
linux-image-3.17.0-031700-generic_3.17.0-031700.201410060605_i386.deb
<http://kernel.ubuntu.com/%7Ekernel-ppa/mainline/v3.17-utopic/linux-image-3.17.0-031700-generic_3.17.0-031700.201410060605_i386.deb>

Package installation was successful, unfortunately during rebooting I
received a kernel panic, "no init parameters". Unfortunately, I am not
able to proceed further, any guidance is appreciate.

Thanks,

Phil
