I manually removed ubuntuzilla.py and thought I found the culprit as I ran computer for nearly 12 hours tuesday without a single reset.
However it occured at 18:36. The only thing in the log was a cron job but it was 19 minutes prior to the reset. At the time I was doing the same thing I had been doing all day ; reading a webpage in Firefox and probably had Adobe Reader and OpenOffice Document open. Again I am able to recover the mouse by plugging/unplugging mouse, however this time it took about 5 attempts before it would stay. It is puzzling that there is nothing in the logs to explain what is triggering the resets: Why can the system run for hours at a time without a problem, then without the computer doing anything different software wise, the usb system fails? Tomorrow I will try running a different USB mouse on system to make sure it isnt hardware related. The current mouse is 2 years old and never caused problems until upgrading to Feisty.
