I have also experienced same problem but in gutsy latest. Tried
Theora/Ogg, XviD/Avi, DivX/Avi and WMV. Gtsreamer backend with all
needed codecs installed.
I believe it is related to free ati driver. Mine is an ATI Radeon 7000
VE card. I also tried using mplayer where 'xv' video output module
doesn't work. 'X11' works. I have already tried gst-launch command and
that too doesn't help.
I never had this problem till gutsy tribe 1 though. So can't really
confirm this in context of Feisty.
