Public bug reported:
I am not able to play wav files with gmusicbrowser under XUbuntu 14.04
x64.
Situation A :
1. log into XUbuntu session
2. in Thunar, double-click a wav file
Expected :
gmusicbrowser runs, displays its indicator and music plays.
Observed :
gmusicbrowser runs, displays its indicator but music does not play
Situation B :
1. in Thunar, double-click a mp3 file
2. after some time, in Thunar, double-click a wav file
Expected :
1. gmusicbrowser runs, displays its indicator and plays the mp3 file.
2. gmusicbrowser stops playing the mp3 file and starts playing the wav file
Observed :
1. gmusicbrowser runs, displays its indicator and plays the mp3 file.
2. gmusicbrowser continues playing the mp3 file
Playing wav files with Parole or the mplayer command line works fine.
gmusicbrowser behaviour persists after it has been configured tu use
mplayer as a backend instead of gstreamer.
