I think I destroyed my installation by doing following: 1) Switch with CTRL + ALT + F1 2) sudo service lightdm stop 3) Tried to reinstall nvidia-331. Needed to kill a process before doing that 4) After that the reinstall was successfull 5) After rebooting my desktop was not accessable anymore. I switched to terminal and I have seen the following error: "Could not find module by name "nvidia_331" 6) Than I have removed nvidia-331 7) After rebooting I have activated an older nvidia driver 304 8)...
Currently I can login but no toolbar is shown. No window borders are shown.... Just my desktop background with my shortcuts... How can I fix that ? :D Thanks Ferhat -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1268257 Title: nvidia-331-updates 331.38-0ubuntu3: nvidia-331-updates kernel module failed to build, with only error: "objdump: '... .tmp_nv.o': No such file" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-331/+bug/1268257/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
