---Problem Description---
Papi support for Power 8 has a bug in the declaration of a statically
initialized array. The issue is to access the Power 8 data the index is
outside the declared array. On Ubuntu, the papi testcases receive a
segmentation fault. The fix has been identified.

Install papi, configure and make the tools and test cases. Run the PAPI tests.

The userspace tool has the following bit modes: http://icl.cs.utk.edu/papi/
I have attached a patch to fix the issue.
