Well, I'll be glad if this gets fixed till Edgy comes out in November, so I 
won't have to think about disabling the composite extension. The other 
possibility would be to wait till the 8.5 version of the adobe flashplugin for 
linux gets released or was it 9 (whatever). Then we can hope, firefox won't 
crash with it.
For now I'm staying with composite commented out in xorg.conf. Not that I don't 
like opera (as said above there is now crash with it), but i'm just a bigger 
fan of Firefox.
I'm also curious, if there would be such crash on the new Vista with its Aero 
theme, because it has also some kind of transparency enabled. That was just a 
thinking though.
