When you start an application in the emulator, with for example:

gesture.enabled: true
}
The app crash:
Sdk-Launcher> Received a failed event
Sdk-Launcher> Stopping Application
Sdk-Launcher> The Application exited, cleaning up
Sdk-Launcher> Finished
The same code works correctly on the Desktop (14.04) and Ubuntu Phone
running RTM build #3 (tested by another user)
