Public bug reported:

Affecting Ubuntu 12.04.

If more then one wired interface is available (eg. more then one
ethernet port, or virtual ports as made by USB ethernet devices),
selecting a connection on one device is setting the default for ALL
wired interfaces.

For example:

I connect my mobile phone to provide internet via USB. I connect another
PC to eth0 to provide a local network. The PC needs a internet sharing
connection providing a DHCP server. The mobile phone needs a normal dhcp
client connection.

When unpugging either the phone or other PC, and replug it again, the
last manual established connection is selected for this interface. This
is arkward.

So I have to select the correct connection everytime again, as the
automatic connection assigned almost never fits both interfaces.

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
