If you would bother to enter https://github.com/jabberd2/jabberd2/search?q=SSL_CTX_set_verify you wuld notice, that SSL verify mode is configurable in jabberd2. I am tired of this "security" guesswork hogging my time and creating false "security" buzz around jabberd2.
