Well I've got a 32bit package that uses motif libs I want to run on my 64 bit box (I think this was for one part of some of the xilinx FPGA tools as I remember when I filed the bug). So I suggest this bug does need something to happen - e.g. creating an ia32-libs-motif package if that's the only way but it seems a painful way. Personally I'd vote for the promotion of ia32-libs out of universe since most 64bit users have something 32bit to run; although I'd rather have something prettier than the ia32-libs solution.
