Version: Linux Mint 17
What I did: I simply plugged in my iPhone to charge it and then unplugged it
after Mint recognized it and the Autorun windows popped up. I then disconnected
my iPhone and reconnected it later.
What happened: Well, a couple of things. First, when I unplugged, the Autorun
windows disappeared, as expected. However, the real problem lies when I plug
the phone back in. I plug it in and Mint tells me, "Location is already
mounted," and that window, along with the Autorun windows, will not go away. I
have to restart my computer in order to make these windows go away, or remember
to unmount the drive before disconnecting (which can be hard when using the
computer simply for USB power).
What I expected to happen instead: I expected these windows not to show up and
for the iPhone to unmount automatically when I disconnected it. There are two
partitions (I guess they're partitions?) that should have unmounted upon
disconnecting: The main partition and the Documents partition.
This problem always happens with the mentioned steps. It also happens with my
iPod Touch.
