Info: I remember I had this problem with "not working touchpad" some years ago there I needed to boot windows to use the fn-key to activate my touchpad, after this it also worked in lubuntu. Currently I do not have windows installed and I am unsure how I could have hit the fn-key +touchpad-deactivate-key (as it did/does not work on lubuntu). fn +brighness-key works btw.
