it does not appear that changing the systemwide libfm.conf file fixes anything. even when removing the libfm.conf file in the home directory at ~/.config/libfm, it does not copy the libfm.conf from /etc/xdg/libfm.
marked as low due to existent workaround. ** Description changed: - Hi, I'm using Lubuntu (11.10 and 12.04 has the same problem). When I - create a simple shell script, I cannot use the "Execute in terminal" - option in pcmanfm. Reproducing the bug is simple. Create a simple shell - script. Ex: + STEPS TO REPRODUCE: + 1. Create a simple shell script, e.g.: + #!/bin/sh + leafpad + 2. Mark it as executable + 3. Open pcmanfm + 4. Double click the file in pcmanfm + 5. Click "Execute In Terminal" - #!/bin/sh - leafpad + ALTERNATE STEPS TO REPRODUCE: + 1. Create a .desktop file, for e.g. leafpad + 2. Add "Terminal=true" + 3. Double click on the desktop file - Then, put this script executable. Execute the script in pcmanfm (double - click or right click and open). On the window that open, if you use - "Execute", the "Leafpad" application start correctly. But if you use the - "Launch in terminal" option, nothing happens (no bug report or error - message). + EXPECTED RESULTS: + Terminal window opens and command runs. - Also, I have another bug that, I think, is related to this bug. If I remove the option, everything works - fine. + ACTUAL RESULTS: + Terminal window opens and nothing happens. - Thank you for your hard work! + WORKAROUND: + In pcmanfm preferences, under the advanced tab, change the terminal to "x-terminal-emulator -e %s". You can also change the "terminal" value in ~/.config/libfm/libfm.conf. - Louis M - - ProblemType: Bug - DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 - Package: pcmanfm 0.9.10-0ubuntu2 - ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-22.35-generic 3.2.14 - Uname: Linux 3.2.0-22-generic x86_64 - NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia - ApportVersion: 2.0-0ubuntu4 - Architecture: amd64 - Date: Fri Apr 6 09:26:09 2012 - ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/pcmanfm - InstallationMedia: Lubuntu 12.04 "Precise Pangolin" - Beta amd64 (20120405) - Pref_Config_System_lubuntu: - [Preferred Applications] - WebBrowser=firefox.desktop - MailClient= - ProcEnviron: - LANGUAGE=fr_CA:fr - PATH=(custom, no user) - LANG=fr_CA.UTF-8 - SHELL=/bin/bash - SourcePackage: pcmanfm - UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) + AFFECTED VERSIONS: + 11.10 to 14.10 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/975152 Title: lubuntu-default-settings does not specify the proper command to execute in terminal To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lubuntu-default-settings/+bug/975152/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
