GNOME mines 2.12.1 was part of Ubuntu 5.10 (Breezy).
Breezy is End Of Life and no longer supported, please update your system to one
of the stable releases listed here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases.
The best would be to test if this issue still occurs with a live CD of the
Gutsy Gibbon, the current Ubuntu development release.

one of the stable releases or current development release.
