Unless these prior kernel and upstream kernel tests can be done in Virtual environments (which I am willing to try), I am hesitant to and not knowledgeable with kernel modification potential errors. I do not want to mess up my current configuration. However, if the process is a simple and recoverable one, then I will follow through. Is there something that I am unaware of that may increase my confidence in changing my kernel.
