I am experiencing a same/similar issue on a Dell XPS13 Developer Edition 9333 and have seen it with linux-image-3.16.3-031603-generic (mainline) linux-image-3.16.0-24-generic and linux-image-extra-3.16.0-23-generic. I have attempted to test it with linux-image-3.18.0-031800rc2-generic but it will not boot (/dev/disk/by-uuid does not exist, drops to busybox).
Sometimes I am able to switch to the VT with ctrl-alt-F1 and switch back with ctrl-alt-F7, however once this has occurred it happens very frequently until I reboot. I have included a portion of my syslog which may possibly be related to the issue. ** Attachment added: "syslog partial output" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1384968/+attachment/4256940/+files/syslog20752.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1384968 Title: Screen goes black at random times To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1384968/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
