Happens to gnome-shell and cinnamon on Ubuntu 12.04 too. After every returning from fullscreen applications, there is some chance of triggering the bug. If triggered, fullscreen toggling does not restore the sane state.
Flickering looks like an old desktop state, or white, or blue surfaces are displayed on any screen update (menu fading etc.). Occurs both with proprietary nvidia and sandybridge intel drivers, so it does not seem to be a gfx driver bug, but rather a gnome-shell one. Does not occur with non-compositing desktops like lxde or gnome fallback on Ubuntu 12.04. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/905851 Title: Running some games in fullscreen causes severe graphics glitching To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/905851/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
