I've done some more testing on this bug : - I changed the motherboard (different manufacturer, same chipset) and disabled everything onboard and it still crashes - when I enable the splash screen but force a vga= option in grub, it doesn't crash appart from the single vga=816 option....... (all 4/3 - 5/4 resolutions for all color planes tested) - here you will find a lighter ouput for lspci -vvnn with almost everything from the computer disabled (no hdd, sound, usb. Only cpu, memory, network and an ATA DVD drive)
I'll try to get a different graphic card or a motherboard with a different chipset to see what happens. ** Attachment added: "lspci.out" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/9197855/lspci.out -- feisty x86_64 boot freeze, early on https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/109592 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
