That's not true at all. Old, unmaintained software can be unsecure and
have many other issues as well that simply won't be fixed due to a lack
of an active upstream maintainer. And Ubuntu doesn't have enough
dedicated developers to fix problems if they arise in the software
itself (outside of packaging issues). Closing as Won't Fix.
