Hi, I finally could upgrade to 14.10, following the link below, specifically the first solution:
$ grep ERROR /var/log/dist-upgrade/main.log $ sudo apt-get remove conflicting-package-1 conflicting-package-2 ... Too bad that the failing calculation part of the upgrader gives no hint about the problem that makes it fail. http://askubuntu.com/questions/541246/unable-to-upgrade- from-14-04-to-14-10-cannot-calculate-upgrades?answertab=votes#tab-top I hope this helps others, too. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1385545 Title: 14.10 upgrade fails with the error : -" Could not calculate the upgrade" due to poor mirror To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1385545/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
